Thank you in advance for your help with Modern Machine Shop's 2024 Top Shops Benchmarking Program. I'm writing to let you know about some much-requested improvements to the survey process and mention a few key benefits that show why you'll want to participate in this important annual research initiative.

(A special thank you to those of you who have already submitted your survey!)

We've revamped the survey structure for 2024 to focus on core questions for 50% of the survey, tailored to provide valuable insights to the majority of participants. Answer the core questions by April 30 to be eligible for some great benefits (listed below). The remaining 50% of the questions are organized into business area modules, such as operations or human resources, allowing you to choose interest areas to explore further based on your business priorities.

TOP SHOPS BENEFITS:

  1. You only need to complete the survey's core questions for the opportunity to receive a FREE customized report showing how your business' data compares to similar facilities. This allows you to better assess strengths and weaknesses and determine areas for future improvement.

  2. If you rank in the top 20%, you'll be considered a 2024 Modern Machine Shop Top Shop and are encouraged to use that prestigious designation in your marketing and sales promotions.

  3. Modern Machine Shop also selects one company from the machining technology, shopfloor practices, business strategies and human resources categories to represent the highest caliber machining facilities in the U.S. These top four companies are profiled and covered in the September 2024 issue of Modern Machine Shop.

Recognizing that Top Shops are more efficient in their processes, now so are we! See if you have what it takes to be a Modern Machine Shop Top Shop.
